Headshot of Devon Slattery

Devon Slattery

Dedicated Patient Advocate
Devon Slattery is proud to help veterans facing mesothelioma, lung cancer, and other diseases get the care they need. Having loved ones who served and who have passed away from cancer, Devon truly understands what you’re going through and is ready to walk with you.

Devon’s life has been shaped by a compassion for helping others, the proud service of veterans, and the tragedy of cancer. Just before she was born, she lost a grandmother to lung cancer caused by years of cigarette smoking.

Other family members were affected by Alzheimer’s disease, including her great uncle, a U.S. veteran who passed away from it in 2023. Her family regularly volunteered for the Alzheimer's Association, which inspired her journey to becoming an advocate.

Devon is married to a U.S. Army veteran, which gives her a deep understanding of the issues that face veterans, such as navigating their U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits. Her husband struggled with health issues that they needed to manage together.

Devon is motivated by knowing even small acts of kindness can change a person’s life, particularly when they’re faced with an uncertain diagnosis like mesothelioma. Today, she is honored to speak with veterans and guide them through this trying time.
