Proudly bearing the name of the firm, the Simmons Cancer Institute at Southern Illinois University (SIU) exists to provide patients and families improved cancer care. Simmons Hanly Conroy has donated over $10 million to the institute, funding numerous efforts in research, education, and outreach.

SHC Foundation

Simmons Hanly Conroy gives back to clients and local communities through its non-profit group, the SHC Foundation. Two committees oversee the foundation's giving. The Meso Committee supports medical research to improve mesothelioma treatment options and search for a cure. The SHC Employee Committee collects money, food, and clothes for those in need. Together, the firm's foundations have donated over $10 million.

As national presenting sponsor of Miles for Meso, Simmons Hanly Conroy hosted the first Miles for Meso 5K race in 2009. More than 10 years later, races have taken place in 11 states and have raised more than $750,000 for mesothelioma research and awareness.
