Ana previously worked as a caregiver for older adults alongside other family members. She carries her memories of that time to her current role as many diagnosed with mesothelioma are 70 years or older.
Through her work as a patient advocate, Ana has a wealth of knowledge about mesothelioma and can answer questions that veterans with mesothelioma and their loved ones may have. This includes information about asbestos, what to expect after a cancer diagnosis, and much more.
Ana is also fluent in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, and served as an interpreter before joining the team.
Ana was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and moved to Portland, Oregon as a child. Today, Ana still lives in Portland. She enjoys painting, going out doors, crocheting, embroidering, and relaxing over a cup of tea.
